Managed Apple IDs - For your Information
CSPD has been working closely with Apple in the implementation of Managed Apple IDs for all staff and students.
Managed Apple IDs allow all Staff and Students to have a specialised education-focused Apple ID with a range of features.
Features:
Federation - Apple IDs will utilise existing CSPD accounts for automated provisioning and sign-in.
iCloud - iCloud account with 200GB of storage and backup.
Shared iPad Mode - Multiple user ‘profiles’ on shared iPads, users data will sync across devices.

What does this mean?
Any staff or student who has created an Apple ID with their work or school email must change the email linked to their Apple ID to a personal email address.
All app purchases, saved data, photos, and backups will be unaffected. The only change will be the email used to log in.
What needs to happen?
There is no immediate action that needs to happen, the Apple IDs can continue to be used.
Users will receive an email from Apple with instructions on how to change the email address linked to their Apple ID.
Users without access to their emails will receive a notification on any device signed in with that Apple ID.
